Xerox Error 031-528 (Can't find Server)
The error code 031-528 will mean that the printer cannot connect to the PC or server to which SMB scan is configured. Below are a couple of solutions for this issue.
Solution 1
Unable to read the host name of the PC/server by the printer
For this we need to change the hostname of the PC/server to its IP address.
Log in to the printer using the ip address and a web browser > Go to Address Book and the scan entry which fails > Change the hostname to the PC/server IP address
Solution 2
SMB protocol not enabled in the PC
